My name is Sarah and I am a 29 year old Canadian Contemporary/Pop-art/ Mixed Media artist. I am proudly apart of the Canada Council Of Arts. I officially started my artistic journey in July of 2020. I was attracted to visual arts my entire life but I previously ignored the urge to follow that path. I went through paradigm shift that made me realize how intertwined science and art truly are and this sparked a new artistic inspirational light inside of me. This light fuelled me to put my passion for science, emotions and art together and marry them with contemporary , abstract and pop art. I have since then dedicated my time to experimenting with different composition techniques, trusting the process and turning all of my mistakes into learning opportunities. I will remain forever curious.
Looking forward,
Sarah
I am passionate about chemistry, biology, earth, space, neuroscience and the arts. I began with fluid art due to being drawn to the chemistry and physics of different paint composition possibilities to produce different outcomes and results. I gradually shifted from mainly abstract fluid art to a hybrid of abstract fluid art with a mix of pop art. From there I pivoted with pop-art into more pop art/conceptual/contemporary practices. I remain in practice to continue evolving my skill sets and my techniques.
I like to connect a contemporary approach, scientific facts and theories, stories and thoughts with abstract and often, juxtapositions that leave room for personal interpretation while keeping my own under lying transfer of information present.
And some pieces are purely random brain children.
Thank you for reading and thank you for looking.
Sarah
